Kingston Migo Edition Flash Drive

I still remember when USB flash drives first hit the scene. It sounded so impressive to shove 32 megabytes into your pocket, because the next best thing would be to opt for 100MB zip disks. The key advantage is that thumb drives are universal, working with just about any computer so long as they have an available USB port. The industry has advanced substantially since the introduction of the first USB flash drive and we see a couple of these innovations in the Kingston DataTraveler Mini - Migo Edition. This drive may be small in stature, but it's big in storage and it comes with a couple extras too.

Features At A Glance

The DataTraveler Mini - Migo Edition USB Flash Drive from Kingston Technology is available in three capacities: 1GB in light blue, 2GB in light purple, and 4GB in dark blue. Outside of the amount of memory housed within, the three drives should be identical in functionality and performance. For the purposes of this review, Kingston provided us with the 4GB version (product number DTM/4GB). Key features found in this mini drive include:

  • Securely carry and work with your files, email and Internet settings with Migo
  • Dimensions: 0.70 x 1.42 x 0.40 inches
  • Designed to Hi-Speed USB 2.0 specifications
  • Supported Email Clients: Outlook Express 5.0+, Thunderbird 1.5.0.5+
  • Supported Browsers: Internet Explorer 5.0+, Firefox 1.5+
  • Migo software not compatible with Mac OS
